Etihad has become the first airline to accept Jaywan, the UAE’s national domestic card scheme, allowing UAE-based customers to pay for flights across its global network when booking directly through etihad.com. Operated by Central Bank subsidiary Al Etihad Payments, Jaywan was officially launched in July 2026 to strengthen the UAE’s domestic payment infrastructure.
